I had the privilege of living in some of the most quaint little towns in my life... One of them was Ocean Grove, New Jersey... Where I lived just a block to a community of summer dwellers who would inhabit and bring to life "Tent City"... This beachy victorian town built all its homes within feet of each other...

Sort of like the infamous San Francisco skyline photos of victorian houses... That was also Ocean Grove...

Streets were designs to flare out at the ocean and would narrow the more inland you got... The purpose of the founders was to allow the breezes from the ocean to fill every front porch from the ocean westward through all of the narrow little streets...

And right in the center of it all were wooden platforms with small little cottage 1800's sheds attached with pad locks... From Memorial Day to Labor Day the these platforms and boarded up sheds become fanciful tents of colorful stripes...

The shed becomes the kitchen and bathroom and the tent attaches to the front of the platform where iron beds stood... Strolling through the tiny sidewalks within Tent City... Listening to Sinatra playing nearby at the infamous Auditorium...

Lush hanging baskets of colorful flowers hang dramatically and fantasy like on porches... And where once you open the front doors becomes another step back in time of antique furnishings... Enamelware and ball jars for drinking iced tea...

That were all packed away in the shed... Come to life and bring new life each summer to the quaint little hamlet of Ocean Grove... Where memories and nostalgic charm fill every crevice of your being... If you too seek a walk through days past...

Then you should not miss Ocean Grove and nearby Asbury Park! This offering is for ONE unused unwashed brand new remnant of old stock barkcloth... Reminding me of Tent City and some of the decors of barkcloth from the 30's mixed with lace and chenille...

And with a neoclassical victoriana vibe that is so beach house cottage too... A creamy white ground with cottage florals in a striping cascading pattern in the spirit of rococo... Expect flawless as can be! Measures 49 inches wide x 66 inches long.

If you love thick and nubby... Then this dreamboat can be yours. But who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience.

Of course I will take a return... I'm just hoping more the pricing will WOW YA over wanting to return it : Here is to a summer of fabulous Florida Finds. This item is in the category "Collectibles\Linens & Textiles\Fabrics". The seller is "floridabungalow" and is located in this country: US.
